KOBA INDUSTRIES HAS PARTNERED WITH SOLIDWORKS CORPORATION
We will now be distributing Solidworks 2008-2009 Student Design Kits(150 day license) with all complete fab@home kits and assembled machines sold to educational institutions in the US.
Open House I & Open House II
When KoBa moved into our current digs we did the polite thing, we threw a party. Actually, two.
The first was a housewarming shop-warming party to meet the neighbors, thank our partners and affiliates for their support, and to discuss opportunities with some of our recent clients. The second open house was a chance to demonstrate our fabber units and put some of our newest design work on display. We expect to have new announcements coming up in the near future and if happen to be in the Albuquerque area we'd love to have you over. Keep an eye on this site to find out more!

KoBa Industries gets a write up in the New York Times
You read that right. KoBa is proud to have made an appearance in the venerable pages of that standard for journalism: The New York Times in an April 5, 2007 article by Peter Waynar titled: "Beaming Up 3-D Objects on a Budget"
The article presents Waynar's experiences testing out the latest developments in home based fabrication and the role that the Fabber 1 unit and Fab@Home play in this exciting new field.
An excerpt from the article:
"The three-dimensional printers that generate the products are also getting cheaper. A Cornell University project called Fab@Home is sharing open-source versions of a design that is being manufactured by an Albuquerque-based company, Koba, at prices of about $3,000."
